Water: The Most Underappreciated Asset?

Over the past week, the MidWest has been deluged by water. They have learned first hand what too much water brings and how little water is thought about before a crisis situation.

When the sewer mains burst and spread wastes amongst the drinking water of several communities, when venturing out into the streets was perilous due to rising water and downed electric lines, it became quite clear that preparing for water emergencies usually occurs as an afterthought.

It's only when threats and restrictions occur that we are again reminded of how underappreciated this asset has been.

But no more.

Without food, you can last several weeks...potentially up to two months. Without air, 5 minutes top! But water...without water, only a few days.

We will explore what you can do to ready yourself to weather any unexpected water emergency. Preparation first starts with acknowledging the problem and readying a plan.
